MEHMAS continues to record Group performances around the world, with CHORLTON LANE being his latest Stakes contender, finishing third in the G3 Race-Tech JRA Plate at Caulfield, Australia, on February 8. Our Tally-Ho Stud-based sire was also well represented at Southwell, UK, by five-year-old HAWAJES and 3-year olds MARCHOGIO and TRANSPARENT. HAWAJES, bred by GHS Bloodstock and Tally-Ho Stud, claimed his third career win on January 31, while MARCHOGIO broke his maiden by 7-lengths the following day for breeder Rockcliffe Stud. Bred by Drumlin Bloodstock, TRANSPARENT secured his second consecutive win out of three starts on February 6.
The list of victories was extended with a double on January 29. NA. Al-Mesned and At. Al-Mehshadi-bred BELINSKOVscored in a 1,600-meter handicap race at Pau, France, while Pier House Stud’s three-year-old RED EVOLUTION broke his maiden at Dundalk, Ireland.
ROMANISED was also well represented through his three-year-old MIKEY, who posted his second consecutive success in a 1,300-meter handicap race on January 31 at Deauville, France, for Salabi Racing and Thierry de la Héronnière.
Our Haras de Bouquetot-based sire WOODED recorded a triple of three-year-old winners, including a double at Cagnes-sur-Mer, France. Haras de Bouquetot-bred ASHERAH made her second start a winning one on January 28, while Gestüt Zur Küste-bred NOTA BENE secured victory over 2,000 meters on January 30. On the same day, MONTERRICO joined the winners’ circle by defeating 13 rivals at Pornichet, France, for Ecurie Brillantissime and Sébastien Desmontils.
Ecurie Brillantissime’s Sébastien Desmontils celebrated a double at Pornichet, France, thanks to three-year-old TOOGOODTOBEROOD, who claimed victory for his sire ZELZAL. Haras de Bouquetot’s resident was further represented by ZELMAN, who began February with his sixth career victory in a 1,400-meter handicap race at Deauville, France, for the Prudent family.
OLYMPIC GLORY achieved success on both sides of the planet. He ended January with a handicap win for TOP GLORY at Pau, France, on January 29 and celebrated a maiden victory for SIR TOM at Taree, Australia, two days later.
