Autumn arrived in style for MEHMAS who celebrated a G3 one-two. Two-year-old THE WACO KID dominated the G3 Tattersalls Stakes on September, 26 at Newmarket, UK to become the 34th Stakes winner of his sire, leading home two-year-old DIEGO VENTURA. Group-winner THE WACO KID was bred by Tally-Ho Stud while DIEGO VENTURA proved a worthy runner-up in only his third career start for Sean Ronan and Caroline Hanly.

Our Tally-Ho Stud’s resident continued his dominance with his juveniles. Plantation Stud-bred KING OF LIGHT secured his second career-win at Haydock, UK on September, 27, while the following day on the other side of the Channel, Haras du Cadran and Patrick Klein-bred NAKED MEMORIES was breaking his maiden tag at Le Mans, France. GRACIA and MONTPELLIER GREEN were both acclaimed on September, 29 with the first named being victorious at Hannover, Germany and Glenanore Stud-bred MONTPELLIER GREEN breaking his maiden tag at the Curragh, Ireland a moment later.

Three-year-olds were represented by PAT DE L’ALGUER in Italy in a 1,200 meter handicap race on September, 28 and by UNA MATATA who broke her maiden tag at third asking on September, 23 at Fairyhouse, Ireland for Mrs Oonagh McKeever. Capping of the list, four-year-old HERMEVILLE clinched victory at Amiens, France on September, 29 for Stockvale Bloodstock.

 

Our Haras de Bouquetot-based WOODED celebrated a 1-3 with his first-crop of two-year-olds on September, 24 at Vichy, France. Our homebred JAWWAL broke his maiden tag by 3.5 lengths under the care of Henri-François Devin and the ride of Maryline Eon, with DRUMROY GIRL back in third on just her second start for breeder A. McNally. Becoming his sire 6th individual winner, JAWWAL hails from a strong pedigree, being out of Al Johrah, who was Royal Ascot juvenile Stakes placed by Bated Breath.

 

Two-year-olds were also in good form for ZELZAL courtesy of debut winner NAZARETH. Bred by J. Tranicek, he stormed to victory in the Prix Aletti by 2.5 lengths. Our sire was well represented in France, with three-year-old ZELMAN landing his fourth career-win at Le Mans on September, 28 for the Prudent family. Four-year-old KELLY KEY bested his 10 rivals at Saint-Cloud on September, 27 for Ecurie Jarlan and IRBIS posted a third career-success in a 1,400 meter handicap race at Compiègne for Haras de Beaufay. The week ended in Italy with the victory of TAWANG over the 1,200 meter of Milano.
