2024 Stud Fees & Digital Brochure revealed

Haras de Bouquetot has revealed its Al Shaqab Stallions fees for the 2024 breeding season, along with its new digital brochure available online at www.brochure-alshaqabstallions.com

Sébastien Desmontils, Nominations Manager, comments:

We are pleased to offer our clientele once again this year a diverse roster of stallions that can meet the expectations of everyone, following a year marked by active support in the sales ring by Al Shaqab Racing, leader of the yearling purchases in France in 2023.
ZELZAL, thanks to his ability to improve the small number of mares he covered in his early breeding years (10% Blacktype and 52% winners per runner), was able to cover 189 mares in 2022 and 111 mares in 2023. Like many improving stallions, he is building his reputation the hard way, and we can only hope to see breeders who will use him in 2024 ride the wave of these two larger generations.
WOODED saw his first yearlings go through the sales this year, with around fifty offspring sold in the international market, including a top price of 140,000 euros in France, as well as yearlings selling for 4 to 5 times his stud fee in each of the major European sales, such as Tattersalls October 1 & 2, Goffs Orby 1, Arqana August & October, and a session-topping price at Tattersalls Ireland September. We firmly believe in WOODED, with over ten offspring set to compete in the Al Shaqab colors. The good numbers he's had in his first three breeding seasons should give him every chance on the racetracks.
ROMANISED was very well received in the sales ring with his first yearlings, whose average price of 34,000 euros represents nearly 5 times his initial stud fee, with two top lots at 170,000 euros and 140,000 euros. He himself was very precocious, winning in April of his 2-year-old season, and we can only hope his progeny will emulate his precocity. ROMANISED will have every chance of success, having covered a significant number of mares each year since arriving at the stud, with active support from his owner, Mr. Ng, who has placed 18 of ROMANISED's yearlings in training through his private production and public auction purchases.
LUSAIL will be the new addition for 2023! He will be the first son of the highly improving MEHMAS to stand at stud in France. He has a very similar profile to his Sire, both in terms of physical appearance and two-year-old performances as a juvenile double G2 winner. In addition, LUSAIL had a career at 3 years old at the highest level on the mile (2nd in the St James Palace Stakes and 3rd in the Jean Prat). This robust colt with excellent locomotion is sure to catch the eye of breeders looking for speed and precocity!
THUNDER MOON, the impressive winner of the National Stakes (G1 - 1400m) ahead of St Mark Basilica, will have his first foals born in 2024. He has been well received by French breeders, and we are looking forward to seeing his first foals.
The son of the highly sought-after No Nay Never, ARMOR, who has fantastically well developed since arriving at the stud, had his first foals in 2023. Stamped by ttheir sire, they are of precocious type with a strong backhand, and the quality of these first foals has prompted breeders to send more mares to ARMOR in his second season than in his first season.
The commercial team at Haras de Bouquetot remains at your disposal to assist with your breeding choices, and we are delighted to announce that the breeding technical fees will once again be offered to breeders at Haras de Bouquetot in 2024.
