Additional victories for our freshman sires

A strong strike rate to 55% winners to runners for our Haras de Bouquetot-based ECTOT, with a fifth individual first crop winner celebrated this week out of 9 runners to date. Haras Garmar-bred CATAPUM broke his maiden at second asking at Mont-de-Marsan, France on September, 16.


Freshman sire AL WUKAIR also celebrated a new first crop winner with SOPRAN VIENNA on September, 15 at Varese, Italy, the two-year-old breaking her maiden at first asking and becoming our Haras de Bouquetot-based’s 8th individual juvenile scorer.


ZELZAL first crop tally was boosted with a 7th individual winner and a strong 39% 2 two-year-old winners to runners courtesy to CARACAL, our Jean-Claude Rouget-trained juvenile bred at Haras de l’Aumonerie’s Julie Mestrallet and associates displaying a powerful turn-of-foot on his debut run to carry our colors to victory at Bordeaux on September, 19 under the ride of Jean-Bernard Eyquem.

Our homebred MELLOW broke her maiden at Saint-Cloud on September, 15 with the regally bred daughter of Deep Impact enjoying the longer trip to secure a decisive win in a 15 furlongs handicap. Entrusted to Francis-Henri Graffard, our three-year-old was ridden to victory by Hugo Journiac.


New Stakes performance for OLYMPIC GLORY as three-year-old JANNAH FLOWER followed-up her Listed victory at ParisLongchamp by a third place in the Listed Prix des Tourelles over the 2,400 meters of Saint-Cloud, France on September, 14


SHALAA was celebrated on both sides of the world, with three-year-old MORNINGTON GLORY opening his winning account at first asking at Bendigo, Australia on September 15 and three-year-old SHALAA KING proving imperial with a third consecutive win on September, 17 at Eagle Farm, Australia. In France, two-year-old EXIGENCY was claiming her second victory at Lyon-Parilly on September 13 for breeder Juddmonte.


Haras de Bouquetot-based TORONADO was also celebrated on both sides of the planet, with TRIPLE HEART claiming a first success in Australia at Cambridge Synthetic on September, 15 and Robert NG-bred NATURAL PATH securing a second consecutive handicap win in England at Yarmouth on September, 16. The week ended with the success of three-year-old SCISSOR STEP in a 1,100 meters handicap at Ballarat, Australia.


Tally-Ho Stud-based MEHMAS continues his beautiful round of successes with his juveniles, highlighted by a new Stakes performer in HIERARCHY who finished runner-up by a short head in the G2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury, UK on September, 18, his second Group-place out of 4 starts only. He is bred by Mountain View Stud & Tally-Ho Stud. Additional two-year-old winners for MEHMAS this week included LADY RAEBURN and MALAVATH. Bred by Mrs Eleanor Commins, the first named broke her maiden tag at Beverley, UK on September, 15 while Tally-Ho Stud’s MALAVATH was a first time winner at Chantilly, France on September, 17.
