The first yearlings by ARMOR made a remarkable impact at the Arqana V.2 Yearling Sale, held on August 20, 2024 at the Deauville Auction Sales' complex. ARMOR's progeny demonstrated strong market appeal, with an average of €47,000, nearing ten times his advertised first season fee, and median of €42,500 reflecting this interest.
Notably, Lot 443, a half to blacktype winner Toimy Son, fetched one of the highest prices of the day when this Normandie Breeding-consigned filly sold for €85,000 to David Menuisier.
The UK-based trainer commented: "She is a quality filly, who seems precocious", adding: "I am looking for sharper types to tackle some early 2-year-old races - and I think she's exactly in that range."
Lot 434, an attractive daughter of the Paco Boy mare Maraza presented by Haras de l'Hotellerie, went for €62,000 to Laurent Benoit's Broadhurst Agency & trainer Lucie Pontoir .
Al Shaqab Racing was delighted to acquire Lot 414, a powerful colt from Hestia Farm's first ever August Sale consignment. The first produce of the Zelzal mare Joel was secured for €55,000.
The other two lots sold through the ring both reached €30,000, while ARMOR's first season stud fee was advertised at €5,000.
Congratulations to their respective breeders, and wishing the best of luck to their new connections!
