Zelzal's Austral Lands Valuable Saudi Cup Night Victory

AUSTRAL delivered an impressive performance at King Abdulaziz Racecourse, securing victory for the Al Shaqab Racing silks in the prestigious Saudi International Handicap (90-110, 2000m, Turf) on the undercard of the Saudi Cup.

Trained by Jean de Mieulle and ridden by Christophe Soumillon, the son of ZELZAL showed great determination to claim this valuable international success.

Bred by Haras de Bourgeauville and out of the Arch mare Saga Boreale, AUSTRAL brings a major win for his sire ZELZAL, who stands at Haras de Bouquetot and who will be represented by his biggest crop of 2-year-olds on the tracks in 2025.
