G1 success for Toronado

New G1 celebrations for TORONADO courtesy of TRIBHUVAN who impressively landed the G1 Manhattan Stakes at Belmont Park, USA on June, 11, a year after his success in the G1 United Nations Stakes. The J-C Haimet and Mrs E. and H. Petit-bred was imitated a few minutes later by Rendwick Bloodstock Agency Pty Ltd-bred LAVERROD who finished third in the G3 Hyperion Stakes over the 1,600 meters of Belmont Park, USA for a duet of Stakes performances in a day for our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion.

The day ended-up with two victories down-under, PIPPIE STAR opening her winning account in a 1,200 meters handicap at Parkes and TEDDY MERCURY collecting his seventh career-success at Richmond.

TORONADO was also honored this week in France with his three-year-olds, Boutin-bred JORDAN BAKER defeating 11 rivals at Dieppe over 1,400 meters and JBS Invest NV-bred LIGHTED GLORY securing a second consecutive win at Salon de Provence over 2,000 meters.


Stakes glory under our colors for our promising three-year-old SAMAHRAM who landed the Listed Prix Volterra over the mile at ParisLongchamp on June, 16 on her third start only. Entrusted to Francis-Henri Graffard, she was ridden to success by Christophe Soumillon.


It was a double of Stakes performances for Tally-Ho Stud-based MEHMAS, starting with last year juvenile Group-winner CATURRA finishing third in the 2022 Listed Coral Scurry Stakes on June, 11 at Sandown, UK for breeder Tally-Ho Stud. The following day, TAKEKO was runner-up at Bro Park, Sweden in the 1,200 meters Listed Bloomers’ Vase.

Additional scorers of the week included four-year-old DHA LEATH who offered a third success to his breeder Bernard Cooke on June, 6 at Gowran Park, Ireland and three-year-old SILKY WILKIE who was a second time winner on June, 9 at Haydock, UK for breeder Mrs Claire Doyle.


There was more Stakes successes for our stallions with Allevamenti della Berardenga-bred RULER OF THE WORLD celebrating the victory of three-year-old NERIK in the Listed Grafenberger Derby Trial at Dusseldof, Germany on June, 12. A day before, PRINCE OF LYRA was crossing the finish line first at Brno in Czech Republic.


Haras de Bouquetot-based AL WUKAIR congratulated two winners in France, including three-year-old LA MEHANA who broke her maiden tag by 4,5 lengths on June, 7 over the 2,200 meters of Dieppe for breeder Noir et Or Elevage SA. Two-year-old RIBERA also joined the dance with a third consecutive victory on June, 6 at Saint-Cloud for breeders SCEA des Prairies and Thomas and Benoit Jeffroy.


Haras de Bouquetot-based ZELZAL posted a new win with his two-year-olds with Ecurie Haras de Saint Vincent and Jean-Claude Rouget-bred RES DEI breaking his maiden tag on his second start only at La Teste-de-Buch, France on June, 7.


Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY signed a double of winners on June, 11 with OLYMPIC CLASS claiming a first victory at Gold Coast, Australia and BLURY getting the best of his rivals at Siracusa, Italy.
