Bred by Mountarmstrong Stud, NO SPEAK ALEXANDER belongs to SHALAA’s first crop of three-year-olds, who also celebrated a double of international three-year-old winners on September 12 with SHAJAEA scoring at Sunshine Coast, Australia and Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum-bred BOOMSHALAA winning at Chelmsford, UK. Last but not least, two-year-old DIWAN joined the dance when crossing the finish line first at Marseille, France on September, 6.
Double of international first crop debut winners celebrated for Haras de Bouquetot-based AL WUKAIR on September, 12 courtesy of JERIMADETH who crossed the finish line first at La Roche Posay, France for breeders Elevage Pierre Levesque, Mathieu Brasme and Ecurie Thomas Levesque and FAMILY TRIP who proved best at La Zarzuela, Spain.
New first crop hero for ECTOT this week, with a record boosted with an impressive 44% strike rate for 4 individual two-year-old winners from 9 runners. The later one was Deva Racing Ectot-bred DEVASBOY who broke his maiden tag at Brighton, UK on September, 6 at third asking.
Tally-Ho Stud-based MEHMAS added to his already impressive collection of Stakes winners a new Group 2 two-year-old star with Saeed Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi-bred CATURRA finishing fast to grab the G2 Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster, UK on September, 10, with another great performance from our very own ARMOR as a close runner-up. Additional scorer of the week for superstar MEHMAS was three-year-old HELLO ME, bred by Martley Hall Stud and seen in the winners enclosure of Windsor, UK on September, 7.
Two-year-old EBRO RIVER followed-up his stellar Group 1 success last month in the G1 Phoenix Stakes by a third place in the G1 National Stakes at The Curragh, Ireland on September, 12. Bred by Tally-Ho Stud and entrusted to Hugo Palmer, the son of GALILEO GOLD beautifully sports our colors. A few days earlier, well named two-year-old GIFTED GOLD brought gold to breeders Carl Waters and Mrs E. Burke at Newcastle, UK on her first attempt on the track.
New blacktype performer for OLYMPIC GLORY with four-year-old PORT ETIENNE finishing runner-up in the 2,400 meters Listed Grand Prix de la Ville de Craon on September, 6 at Craon, France for breeders La Motteraye EARL and SCEA des Prairies. On the very same day and on the other side of the Channel sea, Confidence Partnership-bred CONFILS was crossing the finish line in a handicap test at Brighton, GB.
Additional scorers of the week for our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion included two-year-old JOOMANA who snapped a second consecutive success at Le Lion d’Angers, France on September, 9 for breeder SCEA Haras de Victot, and four-year-old MISS FEYA who was a third time winner at Strasbourg on September, 12 for breeder Haras de Bourgeauville.
Stellar TORONADO recorded plenty of international heroes this week again on both sides of the world, including a new Stakes performance for multiple Listed-placed CASH EQUITY. Aged three and bred by SCEA des Prairies and Thomas and Benoit Jeffroy, this ever consistent son of TORONADO finished strong third in the Listed La Coupe de Marseille on September, 11 at Marseille Borely. Also aged three, TORONADO GREY opened the mark earlier in the week with a first success at Brighton, UK on September, 6 for breeder Orchard Thoroughbreds.
TORONADO celebrated two double of international winners on September, 09 and September, 12 with on the first date, ENERGY WITHIN proving to be full of energy over the 1,200 meters of Mornington, Australia, and VALIDAR getting the best of his 13 opponents at Townsville, Australia. Second duet was courtesy of TAOS at Woodbine, UK and TULARKA at Praha, Czeik Republic. OLINDO and RAINBIEL joined the dance in Australia, with a success respectively at Cairns on September, 11 and at Swan Hill on September, 10.
There was more Group success to highlight this week with the victory of RULER OF THE WORLD’s LA PETITE COCO in the G2 Blandford Stakes at The Curragh, Ireland on September 12. Bred by Team Valor, the three-year-old records her third consecutive success, including a G3 victory in the Give Thanks Stakes last month, and her fourth win in total. A. Greenwood and S. Windle-bred MAJOR SNUGFIT was the second winner of the week for our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion RULER OF THE WORLD when joining the final post first at Catterick on September, 7.
