International Stakes glories for our stallions

MEHMAS was honored during the prestigious 2021 Breeders’ Cup rendezvous with GOING GLOBAL turning in a game performance to triumph in the G2 Goldikova Stakes on November, 6 at Del Mar, USA. The three-year-old filly bred by N. Hartery has an impressive record of six wins in ten efforts. The prestigious USA meeting also highlighted two-year-old MALAVATH who finished brave runner-up in the G1 Breeders cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, the Group-winner Tally-Ho Stud-bred filly recording a strong tally of two wins and three places out of five starts.

MEHMAS’ third Stakes performance of the week was courtesy of ROYAL MEHMAS, the three-year-old bred by Paul and Billy McEnery finishing excellent third in the G3 Pr. Carlo E. Francesco Aloisi-Japan Days at Roma, Italy on his third start only.

Additional successes for Tally-Ho Stud-based stallion included a double of winners on November, 7 with three-year-old RABBIT MEHMAS honored at Praha, Czech Republic and Hyde Park Stud’s two-year-old HEBRIDES scoring a maiden at Doncaster, UK. MEHMAS continued his collection of juveniles winners with Ken Carroll-bred SHAMLAAN storming home to win by 5 lengths his second consecutive handicap race at Lingfield, UK on November, 2.


Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY celebrated his 10th Stakes winner on November, 7 at Sha-Thin with the brilliant success of five-year-old TOURBILLON DIAMOND in the G3 Sa Sa Ladies’ Purse, bred by Arrowfield Stud. Our stallion remains this year again one of the best values in Europe, consistently featuring with the top 50 Leading Sires in Europe by prizemony, and with his progeny winning G1 successes every season.


SHALAA had an exciting week, starting with the victory of our homebred juvenile SAYYAL on his Qatar debut. Our two-year-old bred at Haras de Bouquetot and out of the Doyen Mare BEA REMEMBERED showed his consistency once again with a second career win at Al Rayyan Park, Qatar. In the care of Eric Lemartinel, he was ridden by jockey Szczepan Mazur.

Following the impressive victory of NO SPEAK ALEXANDER in the G1 Matron Stakes in Australia, our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion continued his round of Stakes distinctions down-under with the third place of LE GAGNEUR in the G3 Maribyrnong plate over the 1,000 meters of Flemington racecourse on November, 2. On the very same day, three-year-old OTELO was breaking his maiden tag at Echuca, Australia.

SHALAA’s collected more international successes with two-year-old ASHAT at Praha, Czeh Republic on November, 6 and three-year-old CHABADABADA in a handicap race at Deauville, France for breeder Ecurie Skymark Farm.


AL WUKAIR celebrated his 12th individual hero courtesy of ALROMY who broke her maiden tag at Marseille-Pont de Vivaux, France on November, 6 for breeders Elevage de Tourgéville and Mrs Hilary Erculiani.


TORONADO completed his weekly collection of international scorers with three-year-olds NIGHTSTICK and LULLABY winning respectively at Ararat, Australia over 1,100 meters and at Milano, Italy over 2,200 meters. Our Haras de Bouquetot-based stallion smashed a double of winners at Warnambool, Australia on November, 5 with ELUDING securing a third career victory and LA SPEZIA winning for the second time.


Tally-Ho Stud-based GALILEO GOLD saw three of his two-year-olds winning this week, starting with J.G Reid-bred THOR DE SA MATTA crossing the finish line first at Sassari, Italy on the first day of November. He was followed up by ESTADIO MESTALLA at Kempton, UK on November, 3 with the Mrs Lena Farrell-bred gelding opening his winning account by 2 lengths at first asking. Third scorer of the week was BOGOTA GOLD who teared off gold medal at Siracusa, Italy on November, 6.


Last but not least, RULER OF THE WORLD’s three-year-old MARACAY was once again a scorer at La Zarzuela, Spain on November, 7.
