Juvenile Group performer for Zelzal

New Group performer celebrated for our Haras de Bouquetot-based ZELZAL courtesy of two-year-old FRAISE DES BOIS who finished second in the G2 Prix du Calvados on August, 17. Unbeafeated in her previous four starts, including a Listed victory in the Critérium du Béquet, the Family Vitse-bred filly showed professionalism on her first attempt at Group level, handling the straight course at Deauville with aplomb.

Our stallion also celebrated a double on the same day as GUADALEST secured her third career-win at Erbray, France for breeders C. and M. Presse, and L. Hamon. The success was followed by PERLE ROUGE’s victory at Châteaubriant on August 16, marking her sixth career win for owners ML, M, and J. Collet.

MEHMAS continues Stakes success with his juveniles and demonstrated once again his influence with a 2 and 3 in the Listed Juvenile Sprint Stakes at The Curragh, Ireland on August, 17. SARATOGA SPECIAL finished a commendable second in only her second start for breeders David Byrne and Pierce Molony, with LUNIGIANA close behind in third for breeder Renzo Forni.

Our Tally-Ho Stud-resident’s two-year-olds shone throughout the week, beginning with STAR OF MEHMAS who secured a two-length maiden victory at Lingfield on August 13. Bred by T. Stewart and J. Hanly, she was soon joined by MISS FASCINATOR who claimed her second career win at Newmarket on August 17 for breeder Stephen Sullivan.

MEHMAS also registered a treble on August 16, with two-year-old MAGNUM FORCE winning at Cork, Ireland for Sheikh Abdulla Bin Isa Al-Khalifa on his second start only, and two-year-old FORCE AND VALOUR breaking his maiden at Thirsk, UK for Tally-Ho Stud. Five-year-old PHOENIX BEACH completed the day’s success with a seasonal comeback victory at Wolverhampton, UK for breeder Tally-Ho Stud.

Our Haras de Bouquetot-based GALILEO GOLD celebrated three wins across three countries. Overseas, KEEP ME STABLE was a third time winner for Tally-Ho Stud at Ayr on August, 12. In Italy, SOPRAN PECHINO returned to the winner’s enclosure on August, 16 at Livorno while in Ireland, GOLDMOYNE posted a dominant near-three-length victory at the Curragh on August, 17 for breeder Mrs Claire Doyle.

AL WUKAIR congratulated a new winner in France as Elevage de Tourgéville and Mrs H. Erculiani-bred ALROMY defeated her rivals in a 2,400 meters handicap race at Vichy on August, 15.

Congratulations to all respective connections!
