Our Haras de Bouquetot-based ECTOT and ZELZAL celebrated new successes with their first crop of three-year-olds, starting with SCEA des Prairies and B. and T. Jeffroy-bred AOUR who posted a second consecutive victory at Marseille Pont-de-Vivaux on September, 5 for ECTOT. ZELZAL was honored on the same day and racecourse with DH. Francis-bred HYGROVE LASS opening her winning account in a 1,500 meters condition race.
Tally-Ho Stud-based sensational MEHMAS collected a new Group performance courtesy of GOING GLOBAL, narrowly beaten to finish second in the G2 John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar, USA on September, 10. Additional scorers of the week included three-year-olds ROBASTA and OPTIMISING, who respectively defeated their rivals in a handicap race at Kempton, UK for the Tally-Ho Stud-bred and in a claimer at Golden Gate Fields, USA for the second named. On the other side of the Atlantic ocean, two-year-old TAX IMPLICATIONS was found in the winner’s enclosure on September, 11 following his victory at Monmouth Park, USA.
On the sales ring, our stallion TORONADO leaded the early stages of the ARQANA September Yearling Sale with his lovely colt consigned by Fairway Consignment crowned top lot of this first edition at €120,000 when sold to Yellow Agency.
On the racecourse, he celebrated two international winners, starting with three-year-old ANGRY SKIES who broke his maiden tag in Australia over the 1,200 meters of Swan Hill racecourse on September, 9. VICTOR THE WINNER honored his name when getting the best of his rivals in a handicap race at Sha Tin, Hong-Kong on September, 11.
Haras de Bouquetot-based OLYMPIC GLORY was also honored on two occasions in two different countries, with FLAT WHITE claiming a handicap race at Catterick, Australia on September, 6 and three-year-old BLACK ECHO completing successfully the 1,400 meters of Dusseldorf racecourse, Germany in September, 11.
