MEHMAS is in peak form with his two-year-olds and the Tally Ho Stud-based freshman stallion recorded his 10th and 11th individual winners in the space of two days. On July, 22 at Catterick (UK), SAMARA BAY crossed the finish line first for her breeder Rathasker Stud and on July, 24, SELECTED broke his maiden at Ripon (UK) for his breeders Tom Darcy and Vincent McCarthy.
Four times a Group 1 winner under the care of Richard Hannon, our stallion OLYMPIC GLORY continued the success story with his trainer when his two-year-old progeny ETONIAN made a strong impression on July, 23 at Sandown (UK). Bred by Emir Alkas, he proved most professional and overcame traffic to score on his very first run.
It was a dead-heat a few days later for PORT ETIENNE and PRINCE ANODIN, both winners of the 2,000m Class 2 Prix de Navarre at Mont-de-Marsan with a 5-lenghts margin from their other opponents. Son of OLYMPIC GLORY from the family of Group 1-placed IMPRESSIONIST, PORT ETIENNE was bred by La Motteraye and SCEA des Prairies.
Last but not least, all the action took place down-under on July, 25 with OLYMPIC GLORY’s OCTAVIAN scoring for the third time at Toowoomba.
TORONADO was once again on the forefront and was celebrated on two occasions with two international winners in a day. The first duet was on July, 23 with Haras d’Etreham-bred TORONADA recording a second victory in a 2,000m handicap race in France at ParisLongchamp and three-year-old PEEKABOO breaking his maiden tag at Ankara over 1,400m. The second duet was on July, 24 with Mr. HAAM Al-Abdulmalik-bred SHE’S OUR QUEEN opening her winning account in Ireland at Down Royal at third asking and LEGEND OF ZORRO having the final word with a 3,5 lengths margin at Swan Hill racecourse, Australia.
Other victories included our homebred daughter of TORONADO and Royal Ascot Group winner STRAWBERRYDAIQUIRI, LEHWAIYLA, breaking her maiden on July, 22 at Bath (UK) under the ride of D. Probert and the care of Sir Michael Stoute, and KORCHO adding a second consecutive win to his record on July, 25 down-under at Rosehill.
RULER OF THE WORLD entered the fray with this week ALBATROS, a victor on July, 24 over the 2,800 meters of Pardudice and GAJA, a winner on July, 25 over the 1,600 meters of Hannover.
Highlight of the week was also the brave second consecutive victory of our homebred AL RUFAA on July, 24 at Newmarket under the ride of Robert Havlin and for the training of John Gosden.

L’étalon de première production MEHMAS ne cesse de confirmer sa bonne forme et le résident de Tally-Ho-Stud a enregistré cette semaine ses dixième et onzième gagnants individuels âgés de deux ans. En l’espace de deux jours outre-Manche, SAMARA BAY a franchi la ligne d’arrivée en tête le 22 juillet à Catterick pour son éleveur Rathasker Stud tandis que SELECTED perdait son statut de maiden le 24 juillet à Ripon pour le compte de ses éleveurs Tom Darcy et Vincent McCarthy.
Quatruple vainqueur de Groupe 1 sous la houlette de Richard Hannon, notre étalon OLYMPIC GLORY a eu l’opportunité de poursuivre la belle histoire avec son entraîneur avec ETONIAN qui a laissé une forte impression visuelle le 23 juillet à Sandwon (UK). Agé de deux ans et élevé par Emir Alkas, il s’est montré hautement professionnel dès sa première sortie pour s’imposer malgré un parcours difficile.
PORT ETIENNE et PRINCE ANODIN ont quant à eux enregistré un dead-heat le 24 juillet dans une Classe 2 disputée sur les 2.000 mètres à Mont-de-Marsan en prenant une avance de 5 longueurs sur le reste du peloton. Fils d’OLYMPIC GLORY issu de la famille du placé de Groupe 1 IMPRESSIONIST, PORT ETIENNE a été élevé par La Motteraye et SCEA des Prairies.
OLYMPIC GLORY a également brillé cette semaine en Australie avec la troisième victoire d’OCTAVIAN le 25 juillet sur l’hippodrome de Toowoomba.
TORONADO conserve ses excellents résultats chaque semaine et a de nouveau enregistré deux passes de deux à l’international. Le premier duo s’est tenu le 23 juillet, TORONADA ayant signé une deuxième victoire française pour son éleveur le Haras d'Etreham dans un handicap sur les 2.000 mètres de ParisLongchamp, suivie quelques minutes plus tard de PEEKABOO, âgé de trois ans et lauréat sur les 1.400 mètres d’Ankara. Le deuxième duo s’est opéré le 24 juillet, SHE’S OUR QUEEN ayant fait honneur à son nom en signant un succès irlandais à Down Royal à sa troisième sortie pour son éleveur Mr. HAAM Al-Abdulmalik, et LEGEND OF ZORRO s’étant accordé le mot final par 3.5 longueurs en Australie à Swan Hill.
Les autres belles notes de la semaine incluent la victoire de maiden le 22 juillet à Bath (UK) de notre pouliche LEHWAIYLA, fille de TORONADO et de la gagnante de Groupe à Ascot STRAWBERRYDAIQUIRI confiée à Sir Michael Stoute et montée par D. Probert, et le deuxième succès de KORCHO le 25 juillet en Australie à Rosehill.
RULER OF THE WORLD était également à la fête cette semaine avec ALBATROS, gagnant le 24 juillet sur les 2.800 mètres de Pardudice et GAJA, lauréat le 25 juillet sur les 1.600 mètres d’Hanovre.
Enfin, l’autre belle note de la semaine est attribué à notre poulain AL RUFAA, qui s’est octroyé au courage une deuxième victoire le 24 juillet à Newmarket sous la monde de Robert Havlin et l’entraînement de John Gosden.
