Weekly round-up - January, 21

ROMANISED celebrated a new three-year-old winner in GAST A GAST at Deauville, France on January, 10 with the Haras des Trois Chapelle-bred filly breaking her maiden tag at second asking.

 

Our Haras de Bouquetot-based ZELZAL was well represented by his three-year-olds. Homebred LAITH opened his winning account at Cagnes-sur-Mer, France on January, 15 while a day later, PYRAMIDE defeated her 13 rivals at Chantilly, France to win at second attempt for breeders SCEA des Prairies, Ecurie de Castillon and SAS IEI.

 

MEHMAS secured a double of winners in two different countries on January, 17 with MEHMAN securing his fifth career-win at Dundalk, UK for breeders MP Partnership and Phillistown House, while SKYLIGHT BROCHARD reached the finish first over 1,400 meters at Pau to score a fourth career-win for Mrs J. Brochard. Three-year-olds CORAZON, TRANSPARENT and TOUGHLY joined the scores. The first mentioned claimed a victory at Pornichet, France on January, 7 for Skymark Farm while Drumlin Bloodstock’s TRANSPARENT broke his maiden at second asking the following day at Kempton, UK. Mohamed Jaber Abdulla-bred TOUGHLY followed the same pace when scoring on his second start at Southwell, UK. LADY OF THE GARR round off the successes by defeating 11 rivals in a handicap race at Newcastle, UK to score for the first time on January, 11.

 

OLYMPIC GLORY was also represented in the winners’ enclosure courtesy if BOZZO who posted a fifth career-win over the 1,600 meters of Chantilly, France on January, 11 for Gousserie Racing, and FELIX FELICIS who landed a 2,500-meter handicap race at Deauville, France on January, 17 for A. and S. Martin.
