Three Stakes Performances in One Week for Our Haras de Bouquetot-Based Stallions.
WOODSHAUNA opened the Stakes account for his sire WOODED with a decisive victory in the Listed Prix Montenica on March 9 at Chantilly, France. The three-year-old colt, carrying our colors like his sire before him, was bred by Haras de Magouet and is trained by Francis-Henri Graffard. Ridden to victory by Christophe Soumillon, he secured the win with a 1.5-length margin.
WOODED also celebrated another success earlier in the week when WEWILLDANCEAGAIN claimed his second consecutive victory at Chantilly, France, on March 4. The three-year-old bred by Petra Bloodstock Agency continues to impress.
Our stallion ROMANISED recorded his first black-type performance thanks to the promising CURRAGH CAMP, who finished a runner-up in the Listed Prix Maurice Caillaut at Chantilly, France, on March 9 on only his second career start. Bred by Haras de Gratte Panche, M. Dardenne, S. Torgeman and M. Ben Hamouda, CURRAGH CAMP showed great potential, having won on debut before stepping up in class. Out of the Sea The Stars mare Delinda, he holds significant Classic entries later this season.
ZELZAL continued the string of Listed performances with five-year-old SHORT FINAL securing third place in the Listed Prix Altipan at Saint-Cloud, France, on March 6. Bred by Ecurie Ades Hazan and K. Morice, he stepped up in class on his seasonal comeback to achieve a Stakes performance on his first attempt at this level. Additionally, three-year-old WE’LL DEFEND made an eye-catching debut at Chantilly, France, on March 4, winning by an impressive four-length margin for breeders Haras du Cadran, Haras du Ma, and Ecurie Patrick Klein.
OLYMPIC GLORY rounded off the weekly success with FELIX FELICIS, bred by A. and S. Martin, winning a 2,400-meter handicap race at Saint-Cloud, France, on March 6.
Congratulations to all connections!
