Wooded Offspring Excel at Marseille with 1-2 Finish

Haras de Bouquetot resident first season stallion WOODED celebrated an exacta yesterday at Marseille Pont de Vivaux.

Bred by Al Shaqab Racing and S.C.E.A. des Prairies, the 2-year-old filly NEW WAY BABY, already a dual winner this season, recorded her third victory in the Prix de Fontvieille, a 1,500m race on the all-weather track. Trained by Christophe Escuder and partnered by Coralie Pacaut, she prevailed under the colours of owner Jean-Pierre Vanden Heede.

Runner-up in the same race was LOLA MONTES, another daughter of Wooded. Bred by Infinity Nine Horses and partners, she is also trained by Escuder and finished second under Marvin Grandin for owner Bernard Giraudon.
